I joined the St. Michael’s community in 2022. Prior to that, I lived in Illinois for more than forty years but decided to move to Maryland to be near my son and daughter who live in D.C. I was very active at my parish in Illinois and hope to bring that same enthusiasm and commitment to St. Michael’s. I serve on the Communications Committee and as a lector at Sunday Mass. I participate in the discussion group focusing on the report that emerged from the recent Vatican synod. I was also instrumental in organizing two Michaelmas service projects in 2023.
Finding opportunities to serve the Church and the community are very important to me. I volunteer weekly at Children’s National Hospital, help to serve breakfast at Shepherd’s Table on a regular basis, and recently started to assist in the library at St. Francis International School in Silver Spring.
I am eager to contribute to the St. Michael’s Parish Council and help the Parish grow as a faith community in whatever way I can while also growing in my faith. I am grateful to those who have welcomed me into the St. Michael’s community and served as role models for me.
