Twelve Peak Events of Black History, 1530 – 2021 Part II: From 1865 to 2021

This is our Follow-up weekend to the Annual Appeal. Remember that, in total, your donation each year supports more than 70 ministries of the Archdiocesan Church!

The topic is the “Twelve Peak Events of Black History, from 1530 to 2021.” They are brief summaries of the 12 subjectively chosen events. The topics are divided evenly into two parts. Part I covers the period from 1530 to the 1865.

As you know, this weekend is Commitment Weekend for the 2021 Annual Appeal. Thank you for supporting the ministries of our Archdiocese, which in many ways benefit our own parish community.

For many years we have assisted in feeding the hungry at So Others Might Eat (SOME). Because of the Pandemic caused by the Coronavirus outbreak, we no longer provide monthly casseroles. As the numbers of those in need increase in our community, so do the opportunities for us to share with them. Please consider SOME as you perform your works of charity.
