The founder of the Knights of Columbus, The Venerable Servant of God, Father Michael J. McGivney will be beatified by Pope Francis on October 31 at 11:00 AM EDT in the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford, Ct. It will be broadcast live on EWTN, CatholicTV, Salt+Light TV, and also live streamed on the Knight of Columbus website at kofc.org. The Knights of Columbus will be televising the event in the Williamsburg Room. All are invited to view together. Please come early by 10:45 AM.
On Oct 30 a Prayer Vigil at 7PM EDT from St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Conn will be livestreamed. On Nov 1 at Noon, a Mass of Thanksgiving with Supreme Chaplain Archbishop William E. Lori as the principal celebrant will also be live streamed from St. Mary's. Please visit kofc.org/beatification.
This is an historic event where the first American-born Catholic priest will be beatified by the Church. On Sunday, October 25th, after each Mass the Knights of Columbus invite all to view a short 25 minute film of Fr. McGivney's life in the Williamsburg Room.
